Cascade Train from Portland to Seattle

Maybe it's because I am the daughter of a model railroad enthusiast, but I really love train journeys. Last Sunday we caught the Amtrak Cascades route from Portland, Oregon to Seattle, Washington. The route journeys along the Puget Sound, with stunning mountains in the background. It also passes some small towns, tall pines and pretty streams along the three and a half hour journey.
